Choosing a Program

Eligibility for St. Bernard's programs is aged-based. Typically, programs coincide with grade levels and participants are placed with their classmates. For the 2022/2023 Winter Season, the programs will be organized as follows:

• Mini Mites – 2016 and younger (typ. Kindergartners)
• Mites (red) – 2015 and younger (typ. 1st graders)
• Mites (blue) – 2014 and younger (typ. 2nd graders)
• Squirts – 2012 and 2013 birth years (typ. 3rd and 4th graders)

USA Hockey adheres to strict compliance with these age ranges so it is not possible for older skaters to play down a level. However, on occasion more advanced skaters will be asked to participate up a level for competitive reasons.
